What We Do
Painted Paws Animal Rescue of Central Texas sees the beauty in all animals regardless of the scars from the past. We aim to help these animals find loving homes that can see them for the amazing animals they are.
We work closely with Central Texas Lost & Found Pets who are a network of amazing people that volunteer their time to get as many animals as they can home. Extra money and supplies we have will go to them to help the animals they get that don't have a home.
Since we are a small rescue, all of our fosters live in our homes and are part of our family. We can only accept a small number of animals at a time to ensure that we can give each animal the attention and medical it needs. If enough funds aren't donated then we need to be able to pay their medical expenses out of our own pockets.
To help raise money for our fosters, Naomi started doing paw print paintings. It was something fun and creative to try to help encourage people to donate. We decided to name our rescue after the paw paintings and use their little paws to paint the world to be a better place.
We officially became a 501(c)3 non-profit on June 24, 2020.
How you can help
What a lot of people don't realize is how much work can go into rescue. We are always needing supplies to be able to take care of these amazing animals. Everything usually comes out of our pocket and our social lives revolves around these animals. Below is the link to our amazon wish list if you would like to help us take of our rescues.
